This Grievous Day In 2001

Mon, Dec 22, 2003; by steve winfield. On Sept. 11 we were attacked, And watched with disbelief, as our trade centers collapsed, Thousands of people buried alive, and only a hand lucky to survive, People all running, trying to hide, and dont want to be like the others that died, As our towers went down, with our planes they were flying the damage so unreal you couldnt stop crying, The dust and the ash, the concrete and steel, a pile so high you cant believe its real, In a differant state the highjackers are back, into the pentagon, another attack, And only in seconds more innocents were taken, all that were left were a few hurt and shaken, A call was made from a plane up above, hijackers again taking the ones we love, We cant help but thank those passengers who cared, they took back our plane and hundreds were spared, So deep and wide a hole in the ground, and so far away you couldnt hear a sound, Volunteers all digging with cranes and their hands, no more survivors right now as it stands Why werent they gathered and why werent they detained? that makes us so angry and left with great pain
