Waleed J. IskandarTue, Nov 27, 2001; by Joseph Iskandar. Waleed J. Iskandar"Here is a talented and successful young man who went so early to meet his LORD". Waleed Iskandar, a London resident and business strategy consultant, died aboard American Airlines Flight 11 in New York on Tuesday September 11th. He was 34. Waleed worked extensively in the USA, Korea, and throughout Europe. He established Monitor Group's Istanbul office and co-led development of Monitor's Central/Eastern European and Middle East operations. Most recently he was living in London and was head of Europe for Monitor's digital strategy unit. He and his fiance were planning to be married in July 2002. He was a food and wine enthusiast, who enjoyed yoga and cycling. He spoke fluent English, French and Arabic. Waleed is survived by his parents, Joseph and Samia of Los Angeles; fiance, Nicolette Cavaleros of London; a sister, May Marconet of Los Angeles; a brother, Sany of Sudbury; and six nephews and nieces.
